Government Commissions – BBC Sessions 1996-2003 collects Mogwai, the Scottish post-rock band’s dynamic, guitar-driven radio performances spanning 1996 to 2003.

Side one opens with legendary DJ John Peel’s spoken introduction and the album notably features an 18-minute, ferocious rendition of “Like Herod” and an entirely instrumental version of “R U Still in 2 It?”.
A brilliant live document of their early years for fans and a great introduction for newcomers.
