Announcing newBossanova & Trompe le Monde 2026 remasters. These represses feature newly remastered audio with engineer Kevin Vanbergen having returned to the bands original analogue tapes to deliver stunning new masters that excitingly reveal more layers to these much-loved records.
Trompe le Monde (French for “Fool the World”) is the fourth studio album by Pixies, first released in 1991. Recorded in Burbank, California, Paris and London, the album was produced by Gil Norton, and was the Pixies‘ final studio album before their break-up two years later.
Additionally, it was the band’s last album to feature founding bassist Kim Deal. Tracks like “Planet of Sound,” “Trompe le Monde,” “Space (I Believe In),” and “Subbacultcha” recall a heavier leaning sound.
