The Bends is the second studio album by the British rock band Radiohead, released in 1995. The album was produced by John Leckie, known for his work with bands such as The Stone Roses and Simple Minds. Radiohead, originally from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, further developed their sound on this record, incorporating a more complex musical structure compared to their debut album Pablo Honey. WhileThe Bends did not initially receive significant commercial success upon release, it later gained recognition as a key influence on alternative rock and was praised for its artistic growth. The album was later listed on various “greatest albums” lists, marking a turning point in Radiohead’s critical acclaim.
