Reissue of the album originally released in 2009, The System Is A Vampire saw Shapeshifter continuing to push musical boundaries. With lead singles Dutchies and Lifetime the album featured a darker, more introspective tone, while retaining their signature energy.

The album’s success saw it shortlisted for the inaugural Taite Music Prize in 2010, reached #1 in the NZ music charts and gaining Platinum status in New Zealand.
